A Head Chef

These are tough times for the restaurant business, even those with rosettes; to succeed we need a distinct identity and a clear understanding of what our public expects of us. This job is as much about marketing and business acumen as it is about cooking.

You will be creative, disciplined, organised and ambitious, as well as a team builder. My last long term chef now runs a large prestigious restaurant in London.

Evidence of formal training and experience in quality kitchens across a range of sections is essential, as is stability. If your work history is a series of short appointments then please do not apply.

This is an important appointment and total earnings will reflect that. I can offer accommodation if required.

Chef de partie

I need a well trained young chef with pastry experience to work as part of a small team.

To consolidate our one rosette position we need to strengthen the pasty and dessert section; there will be plenty of opportunity for you to shine as you develop your skills.

We work split shifts and you will take a share in the breakfast rota, working on your own. I think breakfast is the most important meal for residents. Can you think why?

I can offer an attractive OTE and the opportunity to live and work in the Mendips, one of the more beautiful areas of Somerset and close to Bath and Bristol. I can also offer accommodation if required.
